Hi Englebert,
My husband and I throughly enjoyed your concert on Saturday, March 29th at Spotlight 29 Casino. It was my birthday and what a great way it was to spend a "romantic" evening with you and my husband.
Best of luck in your future bookings. Also, hope your grandchild is here by now and a healthy little one.
I have been an Engelbert Humperdinck fan for a long time. So I purchased for my cell phone a ringtone with his hit song "Release Me" and have this ringtone on my cell phone alarm clock, so that every morning at 4:00 a.m. I wake up to the song. Recently I traveled to Central America and was staying at my brother's home, sharing a room with my nephew and his wife. Since I could not use my phone outside the USA, I simply placed it inside my suitcase after arrival there. Although the tone was set at "low", the next morning at 3:00 a.m. sharp (different time zone ) we were awakened by this melody coming out of the suitcase pleading "Please release me, let me go….." (EH trapped in the suitcase?) Instantly I realized the only thing working on my phone was the clock (and consequently the alarm), but hoped no one else would hear it so I would not have to get out of bed. However, my nephew's wife heard it, and sat up wondering "What, I can't believe this; they got a bar next door or something?" I had to get up then and turn the phone completely off, but we got a good laugh.

Dear Engelbert,
My dad, mom, and I saw you at The Maricopa County Event Center on March 28th and enjoyed your concert very much. We had a rose and a card we made for your 40th Anniversary, but they took it, and promised you would get it. We were wondering if you did receive it?We hope you come back to Arizona soon. We love you and watch all of your concerts on DVD and listen to all of your CD's all the time. You're the greatest!
Take Care,The Groebners Frank, Marie, and Paulette
Dear Engelbert-
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for asking me to be with you on stage in Sun City West,AZ. on March 28th. You looked just totally amazing with that bronze tan and great hair. I was just thrilled as I do adore you. Guess that I was the youngest and liveliest one at the show, but it didn't matter to me. I enjoyed every minute with you and had a wonderful time ! What a lovely way to spend an evening! You are the most romantic and perfect man I have ever met.
Until Next Time-
Liz Iacono ( The Totally Amazing Girl )

Dear Mr. Humperdinck,
I’m ashamed to say I had forgotten until today what a truly magnificent voice you have. Shame on me. My husband and I were married in 1979 and our song, was “This Moment in Time”. How could I have forgotten.I will be going out after work this afternoon and purchasing some long lost old and new treasures.Thank you for sharing your gift with us all! Kind wishes and God Bless, Diane Tkatch

Dear Engelbert,
Last night I had the opportunity to see your show at the Orleans. You were, as always, awesome. I've been following you for forty years, been on stage at least three times, and last night actually managed to get back stage. Yes, I was naughty but at the age of 58 what did have to lose in trying.
I forgot my picture (taken at the Americana Hotel, New York, 1970, back in New York, which you later autographed for me on your 25th anniversary at Westbury or I would have had you sign it again.
My friend Donna and I did not stay long because I thought she would have a heart attack being so close to you; but, we'll carry the memory of last night to the day we die.
I do want to thank you for your beautiful contribution to this world, your voice.
An adoring fan,

Dear Mr Humperdinck----I want to thank you so much for Great concerts in Las Vegas---You overwhelm me every time I see you on stage---and um um um do you ever look slim and sexy up there--Wow!!!!!The Blond hair makes you look "so young"
I was heart broken when you did not pick me to join you on stage, but I will get over it and I hope to be up there again in Spokane----I will not give up---and you can bet on that----
Thanks again for the great Concerts "You go Enge"----
Congratulations grandpa---Have fun with your new granddaughter--- Kini(Gene) Freedman
Welcome to the wonderful world of grandparents. I was at the show when you announced the arrival of your blessing just hours prior to your concert.
Congratulations to all in the family. I had a t-shirt made and tried to present it to you the next evening at the concert, but I think you may have thought it said something strange. It would have been hard to read from the stage. But you have to have the title of Totally Amazing Grandpa.
I gave it to a very nice gentlemen, out front, and he said he would deliver it to you. Thank you for all the enjoyable times I have had at your concerts. My dream is to be chosen to join you on stage in Reno this August. It will be my birthday and that would be the ultimate birthday gift. Spend as much time with your granddaughter as possible. You blink and they are grown.
Linda Nipper
Dear Mr. Humperdinck:
I am writing to you on behalf of my 85 year old mother, Julia. She has been a fan of yours for many, many years. Every time she is busy in the kitchen whipping up one her famous Polish dishes, she has one of your CD’s playing. She says, “You just send her”.
Anyhow, for Mom’s 86th birthday celebration this May, she asked if we could “road trip” to Cleveland OH on May 7th for your performance at the State Theatre. We were able to obtain tickets and will be staying at the Wyndham Hotel. Mom was wondering where you are staying and if you would be able to have a cocktail with her after the concert. (You have to love Mom’s optimism in wanting to meet you). I know a meeting is a slim possibility so even if you could send her a shout out at the concert or perhaps send her an autographed picture, I know you would make her day, year, life long dream. We look forward to seeing you and your band at another fantastic performance. Kindest Regards, Janice Hanba (for Julia)
Dear Engelbert!
Congratulations to you and your wife with your new granddaughter Olivia. Good luck in the future.
Kind regards
Ingrid

Dear Engelbert,
Your voice and music have touched four generations in my family. As a young girl, my three sisters and myself grew up with your records constantly being played by our Mother. As an adult I have shared it with my own children and my grandchildren. It was so adorable when playing your cd in my car my granddaughter Nathalie who is three started singing along to The Last Waltz..
My mother and sisters will share the experience of seeing you in concert May22nd at Chumash Casino, this is actually my birthday present. We so enjoyed your last concert and my Mom and I agreed if you are here again we wouldn't miss it.
If you receive this message wanted to let you know how much we have enjoyed your music through the years. My Mom's most favorite song of all is After the Lovin. I would love to thank my Mom for bringing such love and beautiful music into my life and if you could dedicate this song to her it would be so wonderful. My beautiful Mom's name is Catie.
Sincereley,
Fredricka

Hi Enge...
I keep checking your tour schedule and have yet to see a date for a concert in Massachusetts! I hope you'll be performing in the Boston area again sometime soon! You have TONS of fans here who would LOVE to see your show!
"Here's to you, here's to me, here's to friends we'll always be..." Karen Mangan
My Dear Engelbert,
I want you to know that my sisters and I have been a fan since your career began. We love your voice and your interpretations of many songs..
We especially loved your Sweetheart album I have all your albums and cds but cannot get the songs on cd from the Sweetheart LP. And all the songs on that album we love and wondered if you are planning to ever put these songs on a cd. As I am worried about not being able to one day play my LPs it is getting harder and harder to find needles for my stereo.
Thank you for all the entertainment through the years and we hope there will be many more years of entertainment from you. Your voice is still as great as it was when you began.
Thanks again.
One of your biggest fans.
Louise Dallas Cleve.Ohio
congratulations to Grandpa and Grandma Dorsey-Dinck on
that beautiful baby Olivia. Take time to enjoy her, as
you know, she will grow up too fast. Also I want to
wish you both a very happy 44th anniversary this
Sunday April 13th. You are true Soul Mates. That is
why you have come this far together. I was at your
concert on March 28th in Arizona. This was only my 2nd
concert but it won't be my last. You are looking
great. Keep up the good work. Would you please do a cd
of only the songs that you have written? My favorite
cd of yours so far is "Let There Be Love" My
impression of this cd is that most of the songs on it
are love songs from you to Pat. Thank you for 40
years of the very best music. May you continue to soar
high on the currents beneath your wings as an eagle.
a new fan mumsey163
Dear Engelbert,
I love your music! My husband & I have attended many of your concerts and have really enjoyed them. When I purchased your latest CD, I fell in love with the song, "A Whiter Shade of Pale." However, there is one line I cannot understand just before it "turned a whiter shade of pale." Since the song plays over & over in my mind, I would love to know what that line is.
Keep up the good work!
A big fan,
Marilyn Moon
P.S. I think you and I are almost twins--I was born May 6, 1936.
Dear Englebert,
I do not see your tour coming to Montreal,Quebec,Canada. this yr.I always go to see you. You are and have always been my favorite singer. My favorite song is After The Lovin, and I play it over and over. Your handsome face and charming manner and sexy, romantic voice and image will always be with me.
Charlene.
Congratulations on the new granddaughter. I too have a new granddaughter and she lives in San Diego. I will be leaving in two weeks to fly (I hope) into San Diego to meet her. Her father grew up listening to your records as I would play them all the time and now he takes his wife to your concerts as well. Haven't seen you in concert since moving from Mass to the south but now play your CD's. Still have those LP'S too. Sincerely, a fan
Dearest Enge:
I hope this note finds you well and selling out the shows you have scheduled. Congratulations to you and Pat for being grandparents again. And of course our congratulations go out to Louise and Tony! I know Olivia is beautiful and hope that we get to see a picture of her in the near future. You are such a blessing to all of those that you touch with your music and that god-given voice of yours. I am so thankful to have been blessed to see you live in concert more times than I can count. You have such a healing power whenever you sing. You can make those who are sad - to open up and have a happy heart again just hearing and seeing you. I hope and pray that you get all the honor and special awards for all your years of devotion to your fan and your hard work that has been so underestimated. You deserve to be given a LifeTime award or something of that nature and more and I pray that you receive all the noterity that you so well deserve. The industry must be blind or deaf to ignore all that you have given to so many all over the world for 40 years +. It's time you are awarded and acknowledged in a BIG WAY. You are a legend. Thank you for all you've given to not only your fans but in all you have done, your charities, everything. God Bless your family and to your precious wife Pat, whom I met in Nashville a few years ago a "Hello" when you were on The Crook & Chase show. Pat and Louise were both kind enough to take a picture with me and Pat also signed a card to me. She is a true lady and so very precious. God Bless you both.
P.S. We keep looking and hoping to see you on American Idol as a special guest one of these days. They could learn so much from you (your range) - if they only knew!!
Mary Ann - Tennessee

Eng,
Is there any chance that you could re-release some of your older vinyl
material that we can't find anymore. It would be great to hear them
re-mastered digitally on CD. Like the original "Love Is All", which is my
favorite song that you have ever done! There is another one called "Somewhere
In Time" that I think is beautifully done, but it is out of print as well.
I don't think I'm alone in this thinking, and I believe it would be both worth the effort
and worth it financially to have your older music re-mastered and available to
your ever devoted fans, like myself. I hope this would happen.
Ken
I have all your albums sealed and I hung out with your son in atlantic city.I also saw you in 1977 when i was 12 years old.

We have watched and listened to DVD's and CD's when you were much younger and we all agree you have improved vastly with age. WAY TO GO! And we also think you look much better, too. Maybe it's because we are older too.

Dear Engelbert,
We met 4 years ago when you performed at the Kewadin casino in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
I was the Chef there and you may remember that we went golfing before your concert.
(i was the horrible Golfer) We had talked a little in the car on the way to the golf course. ( mainly you gave me the advice to call my mother and father in germany more often, which i have) .
I just wanted to thank you for that.
Since then i have moved on and bought my own restaurant about 3 hours away from Sault. Ste. Marie. It is located in the small town of Gladstone.
I know that you are a busy man but if you are up for some German Food just stop on by.
Sincerely,
Paul Bohm
Hi! My mommie was a great fan of yours so when you were scheduled to perform @ Maricopa County she was so excited. Sadly she died on November 14. We were of course devastated, but when Dad saw that you were finally going to be in Sun City he asked me to come back and go with him in memory of her. It was very difficult for us, we could just imagine how excited she would be We were in the third row, which never would have been acceptable to her, she was always in the front row. Even so, I know that she was there with us. For as long as I can remember her favorite song was "Please Release Me." That never made sense to me because she and Dad were married for 52 years so I knew she wasn’t thinking of him. She was engaged to a man who was killed in a car accident in February 1955. Shortly after that she met my Daddy, and there has always been speculation about who my real father is. Since the fiancé was blonde and blue eyed like me, and my daddy is Mexican... the conclusions were obvious. When you sang that song, I could feel my mommie sitting right next to me holding my hand and telling me that this was her song to Walt, and it had nothing to do with my Dad. Thank you. It is still hard for me to hear you sing ...I can hear her singing off key ( she couldn't carry a tune in a bucket). Somehow your voice brings her closer to me. Heck just yesterday me, my mommie and you went to the coast... singing all the way. The only CD I had was the Long and Winding Road, but I will get others. If you ever come back to Oregon please let me know. I will get two tickets... one for me and one for my mommie.
by the way, your voice is better today than it was 40 years ago. Kathy
Hi there,
I am a 32 year old window cleaner from Shirebrook in the U.K, and have been a fan of yours from a child. My mother and now late father used to play your songs all the time. I have been singing your songs for years and would one day like to become a professional singer. But have never had the confidence until now to do so. I sing on my father-in-laws £200 P.A system in my spare time and sing to an organist for fun at my local pub. And people always comment on how much I sound like you. It must be because i've sung your songs for so many years. Anyway people keep telling me to put them on youtube and I finally have. Your son Scott as listened to them and says he will show them to you. My one ambition in life would be to sing with you, I know that this will probably never beable to happen but every one needs to dream. Your songs are like no other.
I have never seen you sing live because I couldn't ever afford it with being on low earnings but that doesn't mean I'm not a Fan. When your son Scott wrote to me on youtube and said I had done a great job of 'Release Me' it was a massive compliment to me. And I would like to congratulate you and your family on the birth of your grandchild.
May you continue singing for many more years to come.
From Lee Evans.
Dear Engelbert, I think you are the greatest singer to ever walk on a stage. I
am a long time fan and I have loved your voice since I first heard it. I am
a black female and my whole family loves you. I own so many of you albums
and cds. Your voice is incredibly beautiful and tantalizing. May God bless
you and your family. Congrats on your new grand daughter.
Your faithful fan, Sarah
Dear Engelbert,
Felicitations to you and Patricia on the arrival of your Grand-daughter Olivia. Please convey our congratulations and best wishes to the parents.
We look forward to see you perform (and perhaps visit with you, backstage) at Casino Rama, Canada in November.
God Bless you and your family.
Much love,
Juanita (James Chalke's sister) and Roland.

Julie
Dear Engelbert, You must sing "Lost" by Michael Buble'! You always keep your concerts fresh with new material. This one fits your vocal range perfectly! It's been said before, but here goes...you're the best! and I love your music! Sincerely, Cheryl
To Mr Engelbert,
This is just to say thank you for sharing your wonderful voice and your music to the world. My mother introduced me to you when I was about 12 years old and I was hooked on your voice and your songs ever since. My mom and I have worn out your tape "Man without Love" by playing it countless times in our car. My favorite song of yours at the moment (although I have many) is "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" by Jimmy Webb-that song and the way you sing it -just stops time for me. My mom, I think is torn between "Winter World of Love" and "The Last Waltz"-the songs she heard over in Poland where she worked as a nurse and fell in love with your voice.
Also, my family would like to wish you an early Happy Birthday!
We will all be seeing you on the 2nd of May at the Niagara Fallsview Casino at 9pm for your birthday performance and my mom and I can't wait (we're dragging dad along of course)! If it's possible, could you wave out to my mom in the audience, whose birthday is on May 4th? Her name is Bogumila (pronounced Bo (like a bow) gu (goo) mila) -she's very shy. She's an absolute wonderful, most beautiful mother and wife, and this would mean alot to her.
Anyways, we wish you all the best with your future ventures, and thank you SO much for taking a chance on music when you were 17 years old. God bless to you and your family, Rosalind
Dear Engelbert,
I have been an enthusiastic fan since 1970.
Last October I saw you about 30 minutes on stage in Mannheim/Germany. After 30 minutes the concert was cancelled due technical problems and I was very sad.
Afterwards I wrote several e-mails and sent a long letter to your home in Leicester because I wished from the bottom of my heart to get an autograph from you (or a red handkerchief) as a replacement for my *"broken heart".
*People in USA can always see you again, but what about a German fan ????
I'm certainly aware of the fact you are a very busy International Star, but *"hope springs eternal".*
Now - 6 month ago - *I'm deeply disappointed there's no chance to get an autograph or a red handkerchief from you.* I wish you all the best Your German Fan “Irene”
My Dear Engel,
I know that your anniversary it's at 2 May, and I have to wish you now all my best thinks, because I will go out of my town for a few days (without computer or Inet)..
I'm from Romania (Bucharest) and I know that I will never see you in a concert / show. So, I'm satisfy with my 5 DVD (the last album Totally amazing was the best) and my CD collection's and I can say that you are beside me with your kind voice and imaging.
At yours 72 I send you all my love and all my good thinks !
Happy birthday and I love you !
Dana from Romania
Can't tell you how much I enjoyed Enge's story telling - jokes - on your website link. I had tears in my eyes from laughing.
PLEASE, is there some way you can put out the 1982 Enge at the Hilton special that appears on You Tube. Some of the scenes have close to 60,000 hits on them. People keep asking if they can buy it on DVD. It is a priceless memory of him and happier times for all of those who remember him then.
March 2008
Hello dear Engelbert,
I am so happy to find out I can write to you.
First to tell you how much a beautiful voice God gives you.
And most importantly to let you know that I went any place I could on my computer to find the lyrics of your song
(LADY LOLITA) and I cannot find it. The only problem I think is maybe I dont have the right name for the song. Any way,
the song is about LADY LOLITA who every body is high on with her big blue eyes. Every body is dyingf to meet her
(She can take you to paradise...)
Please, please send me the lyrics for this beautiful song.
My name is Carole. I am french as you can guess. But your english songs I've been singing since the 1970's at Haïti.
Now I am in Montreal Québec.
Many many kisses & hugsssssssssss
carole
Dear Engelbert: I know there's not a chance you'll see this, but my wife and I have been listening to you since your first song was aired . We found you on U-tube and will be calling for tickets to your concert in Dallas in May. You are and have the GREATEST.
Sincerely
Allen and Bonnie Frazier
Hi Enge,
Just wanted to let you know that you look great and according to my members e-mails you're better than ever.
Just wanted to ask if you'll be doing a U.K. Tour in 2008. You weren't here long enough last year Enge although I did get to see you twice.Once in the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester and Sheffield both here in the U.K.
Also looking forward to the new album coming out. Can you tell me when that'll be please?
Could you please pass on congratulations to Scott on his engagement and to Louise on the imminent arrival of another grandchild for you and Pat.
In the meantime please continue with what you do best Enge. Please come back and see us soon here in the U.K. We miss you loads.
You're great Enge and we, your true fans, love you dearly.
Come back soon.
Take care and may God bless you always. With love.

Dear Engelbert,
Forty years ago a young lady named Janet Marrison was working at a shop in Hammersmith. A young man entered the shop & inquired about luggage.
The young man subsequently bought a suitcase, and headed across the street, where he lived above a furniture store.
The young man was you, and the young lady was my fiancee.
Forty years ago, on May 18th, 1968 we were married at Wandsworth Registry Office. The very next day we emmigrated to Canada.
Jan is still quite chuffed about the whole thing. We are both great fans and had hoped to see you in Niagara Falls, but we missed the boat.
However, we have fond memories of your show in Toronto, several years ago and hope to see you again in the future.
Fondest regards, Phil Cuffley.
Just a note to let you know how much I've enjoyed your music from the very first time I saw you on Ed Sullivan. Time goes by so quickly, but we'll always have our memories. Thanks so much for all the memories you made for me through your wonderful voice.
Best wishes

Dear Englebert:
What a blessing it is to be able to enjoy your God-given talent. We are all so fortunate to be able to enjoy any and all of your performances. Whenever I get a chance to see you perform live, I'm there. My dream is to be able to sit in the first row of at least one of your shows during my life-time.
Usually I am on the only black person at your shows, and I love it. You make everyone there feel like you're only singing to them.
I can't wait to see you on March 29,2008 at Spotlight 29 casino - hopefully, if you pick anyone from the audience - it will be me!
Taking a phrase from the late Jackie Gleason - " you're the greatest!"

Dear Engelbert,
I have been a fan of yours since I was a small child and my grandparents listened to your songs....so a good 40 years! I try and go to all your concerts in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area. There is just something about your voice and you that has always had a calming, wonderful effect on me....
I am looking for one of what I believe to be your earliest songs...I buy every album I can get my hands on, but can never find this song...it is one of my first memories of you....
I don't know the name of the song but it starts like this..." I wonder how it would be, if I were you instead of me....would I see me, the way you do......"
I would be so thrilled to be able to buy, download, anything that song.....I've searched for it on and off for years....Please let me know how I can find it.
Much admiration,
Robin Chacon

Dear Engelbert-
Lately, I have been cruising back through time looking at videos of songs I love on You Tube and digging up old albums. The 70's especially, were a great time of life for me and you helped to make it so.
I recently heard "After the Lovin", one of my favorites, playing in a local club and it reminded me of how beautiful you sang it then and still do.
Thanks for entertaining us all for the past 40 years and more to come.
Sincerely,
Pam Stone
Dear Mr. Humperdinck,
I am writing to tell you how much your music has been apart of my family, the Selva Family. We are a family of music and dance and your music was always playing during many happy occasions, but more recently it was playing during even the most saddest of events, our father's funeral. My father, Ronald, introduced your wonderful music not only to his beautiful wife, Pauline because of the lovely, touching and romantic melodies, but also to his five children, Ronan (the only boy), Kimberly, Cheryl, Michelle and me, Ronnelle. So, when I have those very bad days of missing my father, I listen to your music and it brings me right back with my father and the moments we shared together. Most importantly, it helps me relive the countless times when we watched our parents share so many gentle and sweet dances in each other's arms.
During his last days of his life, he sang to my mother and with his kids and of course some of those songs were yours. I would so much appreciate it if you could send a signed autograph and dedicate to my father's love to my mother, Pauline. In closing, your gift of singing the way you do, will forever be in the Selva Family's hearts. Give yourself a hug because that is from me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
Ronnelle Buch

Dear Mr. Humperdinck,
This letter is to BEG your Staff not to throw it into the garbage until they have
read it’s contents.
My name is Edwin Thomas,I am 77 years old and this letter is long over due,it
should have been written in the year 1972 I believe.!!I was a young and
foolish man to have promised my Daughter Lorraine that I would write you a
letter saying, “If you want a Delicious Plate of Curry and Rice our Home is
the place for It.”and my wife Iris would have been honoured to prepare it for
you.Alas,I did not write the letter, and I have felt guilty all these years
At the time, you were performing at the Elmwood Casino,in the city of Windsor,
Ontario,Canada. My daughter is 51years old right now,I would be Very,Very
grateful if you can find it in your Heart,to be so kind and send her a picture of
yourself.
I lived on Maddox St.in Vepery, and I knew a girl by the name of Joan Dorsey.
who lived on Salai St.
Thanking you in advance,
Yours Sincerely,
Edwin.

Guess what you”re not. Why not? I”m sure a lot of fans would love to see you. I”d love to take my Mum to your concert so please think about coming to our beautiful country, it’s about time.

Dear Mr. Humperdinck~
For the first time ever, my siblings and I are treating my 84-year old Mom to a trip to Las Vegas in early April. During our visit, we are surprising her by taking her to see you perform on Thursday, 3 April 2008 at the Orleans Showroom. My Mom probably has every one of your albums, and will be completely enthralled by seeing you perform in person! My fondest memories include her waltzing around the kitchen with my Dad, and singing along to your songs. Even after Dad died almost 14 years ago, your singing was and continues to be a great comfort to Mom, sometimes providing her the catharsis she needs to get through those “blue” days when she’s really missing my father. It would be too much to hope for a behind-the-scenes meeting between you and my Mom that evening. But if you think of it, please cast a glance and maybe a wave to Helen in the 5th row who will be there with 4 of her “children” (we are in our 40s and 50s!). We’ll be on your right-hand side (Section AA) as you are working your magic on Thursday, April 3rd!Thank you so much, Mr. Humperdinck! All of us will enjoy this special evening with Mom (and you, of course!)
Sincerely,
