Dear Engelbert, another year has passed and with help from our God your still giving us in need of your self to us. Does that make sense? Two years ago, I came out of the Orleans showroom just ready to cry. It was the night you said that show was a rehersal.I felt better the next night and saw the next show, but I had to wonder if it was time for you to retire after that first show. Thank goodness you didn't. When you didn't go to The Orleans all last year I felt as did lots of us a big void in our life. Thank you for supporting the Leukemia Research Foundation and Breast Cancer Research. I, Mary Ann, am a breast cancer survivor and I now have CLL, a form of leukemia. We pray that new and better types of treatment, or even a cure, will soon be found for these forms of cancer.
We had planned on coming to Niagara Falls to help you celebrate, but went to The Orleans, Vegas instead. We enjoyed your shows and seeing your brother, Irwin, in good health. We also saw Jason and spoke with Brad and Nicole. The best part was when you announced the birth of your first granddaughter. Your show of pride was so very endearing. It's wonderful that the baby girl is named for two special ladies, your mother and wife. Please convey our congratulations to Louise and Tony. We've talked with Louise several times and we were happy that we met Tony at Lakeside Complex, when we were there for your shows.
We are planning to come to Vegas to see your shows at The Orleans on Oct. 30-31 and Nov, 1-2. Also, we may come to see you at Casino Windsor the first part of Oct.
Thanks for all of your time and efforts you give to enrich our lives with beautiful songs. We also thank God for giving you the talent to do so.

You are my alltime favorite. I never get tired of listening to you. I wish you would perform at the Cerritos Center in Cerritos, CA again. I am confined to a wheelchair and could probably arrange to be there as I live in Torrance, CA.

I too am in my seventies, and I recall when you first came on the scene with that wonderful voice of yours; we could not get enough of you.

My Dear Enge, Here we are, not half way through the year 2008, and just look at all the wonderful happenings! Of course, #1. on the Top of the List, is that you are " on the road again " and that alone puts a SMILE on many an ENGELBERT fan.....The most popular venue being....back at the Orleans in Las Vegas, Nevada.....where all fans jam packing the Showroom, heard you announce the next Big Happening! The arrival of your first grand-daughter.....Olivia Healey......so precious indeed.....proud mum, Louise doing well......and 'joyous ' ~ Grandpa......" over the moon "........and Grand-mum now having a little girl baby to fuss over......
Add to that, the announcement about Scott and Jo......so the family of Dorseydincks continues to grow......I am sure you toasted your Wedding Anniversary with Patricia in April also, and now as the month of May makes it's entrance on the scene, you celebrate your Birthday, and we will be at the Turning Stone Casino / Hotel in upstate New York to wish you a fantastic year ahead. Likewise, son Scott will be celebrating his birthday also, so of course we send Best Regards all the way to Australia, where he will be blowing out the candles.....So far, it has been very exciting, starting off with our Special Invitation to be there for you at Mohegan Sun on that February 14th day .......for all the Romantics in the World..
There are many dates on the calendar, many states and countries where you will be welcomed, but the two that I will be anticipating ...is your return again this year to the Orleans in October ~ November.....and then the one and only theater that is a CIRCLE OF LOVE for you ENGE....... They can change the name a thousand times, but it will always be Westbury Music Fair......in our hearts.....One of the very first theaters you appeared at all those many, many years ago........and such as it is, you always said you Love The People, and so.....you keep coming back......with a song or two......We thank you for that, Enge.... very nice that you remember all the Good Times......
But wait, perhaps the most exciting announcement has yet to be made......the new release of your latest CD......my longed for wish, that you have worked on.....and should be available this summer....ENGELBERT HUMPERDINCK singing Country! While you go back to your roots, is it possible we shall see some of those country type, western style, hats you used to wear? The most Handsome Country Singer ever.......I cannot wait to hear a few more of those songs, ....So as you blow out the candles on your Birthday cake ( in Canada ) please know that for each fan that is there to wish you well, there are one hundred more who could not be there, but will hold you in their Hearts on your Special Day....and always....
